INDONESIA
Over
the last 10 years, Indonesia has seen its nation develop
into Southeast Asia's biggest economy and the target
of the world's next big outsourcing market. According
to the Global Service Location Index for 2007, Indonesia
now ranks 6th worldwide for countries that provide
the most advantage for outsourcing services. The GSL
Index is based on a scoring system which measures
a country's ability to provide common remote functions
including IT services and support, contact centers,
and back office support.

Although
India and China are leading the way in the outsourcing
market, Indonesia is agressively keeping pace with
the two power houses. Cost in India and China have
gradually increased, which means less cost savings
for the rest of the world. Indonesia currently scores
higher than both China and India in terms of financial
attractiveness. Though the talent pool may not match
that of India and China, Indonesia continues to see
growth in the population of skilled workers. The Indonesian
government continues to push for advances in the education
system and expects to double the nations education
budget by 2009.
